Competition took place in Rotterdam for 25th time.
Valtra Shell Pulling team`s Matti Herlevi won the Pro Stock class in Rotterdam Saturday 8th March 2003. Johanna Herlevi, also driver of the Valtra Shell Pulling Team finished fifth after eventful competition. European Super Pull took place in festive atmosphere, competition was held for 25th time.

There was 60 meters long track in Ahoy –hall. The drivers complained the slipperiness of the track, which caused many incidents. Matti Herlevi controlled the track far the best with his father’s tractor Sigma Power and did
almost a Full Pull also in the pull off. He bet second best René Manders for
almost five meters, which is much at short track. Martin Nicholson was third. Matti was naturally contented with his win.
–The first competition of the season is always a mystery. I was a little bit nervous before our class but everything went fine,
Matti stated after the competition.
Johanna’s final pull was too short
Johanna Herlevi didn`t have as successful competition as Matti. Johanna got a chance to re-run her first pull, because the sledge was first too heavy. Her second attempt went well and she qualified to the pull off, but did not succeed with her pull at finals.
–I think there was something wrong with the tractor, Johanna stated immediately after the pull. The definitive reason will probably became clear, when Doris returns home.
–I had to brake very forceful to keep the tractor on slippery track. It dropped the revs too much.

The father of Herlevi family, Pekka didn` t compete this time, but worked as a mechanic for his children. The team had two tractors competing at this indoor event. Pekka was also happy with team` s success, especially because Matti drove Pekka`s tractor. It was Sigma Power`s third consecutive win at European Super Pull -competitions.
- Competition showed, that the season will be close-run. Although Sigma Power won with quite many meters this time,
there are many good tractors competing, Pekka envisages.
European Super Pull -indoor tractor pulling event is traditional. The elite drivers from all over the Europe come together to this annual competition. The competition which was held in Ahoy –hall, Rotterdam on Saturday 8th March 2003 was 25th in competition` s history. The hall encompassing room for 8000 people was sold out both at day- and evening shows.
