The traditional tractor pulling competition was held already for the 11th time at the trotting-track of Haapajärvi on a beautiful midsummer day. The pulling season started in Oulainen two weeks ago and the hunt for the FC-points continued. There was enough hot weather, dust and noise with a loose schedule, almost to get people bored. As expected the Herlevi family with their red-hot Valtras was one of the main interest.

After a long period of rain the pulling competition in Haapajärvi was driven in the hot sun. Warm wind dried the surface of the track and made it hard to the competitors to get any grip. Huge clouds of dust were annoying the spectators as well as the competitors.

Johanna and Doris still out of luck

Pekka and Matti Herlevi drove Sigma Power and Caesar and followed the same order as in Oulainen: father first, son second. With couple of hundred kilos more weight it was repeated at the heavier 4.5 t class.

The beginning of the season has been unsuccessful for Johanna and Doris. At the pro stock cup in France, in Oulainen, and now in Haapajärvi the wild speed of Doris has died away due to small technical problems. This time they got stopped at 50 meters.

Next Sunday on the 1st of July all three splendid tractors will be at the starting line again, when the 3rd round of FC-series will be driven in Hyvinkää in the southern Finland
