Full Pull for the birthday hero
The third round of Finnish Championship was driven on Sunday in Hyvinkää. Herlevi trio competed there as well, but with varying success. Father-Pekka was not nervous on his birthday. On the contrary, he pleased the crowd with an easy full pull.
Hot summer day was pampering the spectators. The local organisation City Pulling had put the track in a fairly good condition, and fortunately the audience of 1500 could follow the race without huge dust clouds disturbing them.
The beginning of the track was a bit too soft and with the heacy sledges, many of the pullers were facing some difficulties and got technical problems. To compensate this, some very impressive pulls were seen.
Pekka Herlevi was not any worse than the other driver this week celebrating his birthday, Ralf Schumacher. They both won in their own competitions. Brother Schumacher took the pole and with a full pull Pekka got full FC-points at 4.5-t pro stock class. This time he skipped the lighter 3.5. t class.
Bad luck continues for Johanna and Doris
Johanna was having problems with her tractor Doris and for the fourth time this season, had to give up on the race. She was not able to take off from the start line.
Matti Herlevi made nearly a full pull at the 3.5-t pro stock class. In the heavier class (Pro Stock 4,5t), due to some problems with the rear end, Matti’s Caesar joined Johanna and Doris at the start line.
-During the following week we will fix the tractors at home in Kälviä and next Sunday in Alahärmä we will be ready to fight for the FC-points again, told father Pekka.
